Ingredients
- 1 cup warm whole milk
- 1 Tbsp granulated sugar (for yeast)
- 1 Tbsp (or one packet) active dry yeast
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 6 Tbsp melted butter
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 4 to 4 1/2 cups all purpose flour
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 tsp cinnamon
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 2.5 Tbsp cinnamon
- 6 Tbsp softened butter
- 1/2 cup heavy cream (or heavy whipping cream)
Instructions
- Warm milk in microwave 45-60 seconds to about 105F.
- In large bowl, place milk, 1 Tbsp sugar, yeast. Gently mix and let sit 5 mins.
- Add 1/2 cup sugar, 6 Tbsp butter, eggs, vanilla. Mix by hand.
- Add flour, salt, cinnamon. Mix by hand.
- Once mixed, knead dough in bowl and add more flour if needed.
- Transfer to floured surface and knead for 3-5 mins.
- Place dough in large bowl and cover with a damp warm cloth for one hour.
- While dough is rising, make filling. Combine brown sugar, cinnamon, butter.
- After dough has risen, roll out dough on floured surface to 24″ x 12″ rectangle and about 1/4″ thick.
- Spread out filling on dough. Roll up dough tightly so that remains 24″ in length.
- Cut into 12 equal sizes that are about 2 inches wide and place into baking pan. Let sit overnight in frig.
- In the morning, preheat oven to 375F. Pour cream over rolls before baking in oven for 24-30 minutes.
